    Thank you for your interest in publishing an ad with Development Business. These guidelines have been prepared to help you plan and prepare your ad, for inclusion in our website.

    How big should my ad be?

    Please keep in mind that for the web, your ad will be measured in pixels – not inches or centimeters. Development Business is currently offering three sizes of ads: 



    How much will it cost?

    The following chart details our advertising costs for 2014 for the three sizes above. You may also want to consider a premium banner ad on the International Business Guide (more information below). These rates are based on the number of insertions (7 days = 1 insertion) within a 12-month period.

    Placing a Premium Banner ad in the International Business Guide

    The International Business Guide is one of the most popular sections of our website and is prominently featured as one of the top level tabs in the navigation bar. Placing a premium ad on the International Business Guide will showcase your company’s logo and promotional message at its best, with plenty of room for images and up to 100 words.

      

    The following chart details our advertising costs for 2014 for International Business Guide premium banner ads. These rates are based on the number of insertions (7 days = 1 insertion) within a 12-month period and reflect the placement of the ad (1st, 2nd or 3rd tier).

    Since advertisement space on the International Business Guide is limited to nine advertisement banners, we recommend that you contact us as early as possible to reserve your spot.  

    What software should I use?
    We can accept photos or images in these formats:
    • High resolution JPEG(.jpg)
    • High quality GIF (.gif)
    • PNG 24 (.png)

    Fonts:
    We can accept OpenType or TrueType fonts. Please remember that very small text will be harder for your clients to read.

    Do I need to supply layout files for my ad?
    No. But before submitting your artwork, please make sure to do the following:
    1) Your final proof is in RGB mode and that the resolution is set to 72 pixels per inch
    2) Copy and paste all your text into the body of your email
    3) Send us a vector file or high resolution JPEG with your company’s logo
    4) Provide the link that you would like visitors to see when they click on your ad

    How do I submit my ad?
    Please email your finalized artwork to the following email address: dbusiness@un.org and we will confirm receipt of your design and notify you if any changes are needed.

    When should I submit my ad?
    Development Business follows a biweekly calendar. As with the print edition, your ad submissions for inclusion in our website should be placed well in advance. If your ad will be recurring, please also let us know.
